A passionate, warm, and engaging journalist, Monica Quintero mixes experience with flavor. Currently serving as a Main Anchor/Executive Producer for KIDY/FOX 15 in the San Angelo/Abilene news markets, Monica anchors four nightly newscasts, produces both cut-ins and radio updates, proofs scripts, and oversees news content. A driving force behind reinvigorating the KIDY/Fox 15 social media campaign, and launching the new reporting segments #FitWithFox and #AmpedUp,

Hailing from Spring, Texas, Monica’s southern charm and spicy Latin roots demand recognition. While working as a Main Anchor/Reporter in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Monica was the proud recipient of the “Excellence in Communications” Media Award, as well as had the honor of working as an Anchor on the award-winning football tailgate show Oklahoma News Tonight.

A proud Cougar fan, Monica earned a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/Television with a Minor in Marketing from the University of Houston, where she served as Student Body President, Varsity Head Cheerleader, and Chi Omega Sorority President.

When not working, Monica is either surrounded by friends who make her laugh, enjoying quality time with her excitable dogs, Chugs and Honey, or adding a new country to her extensive traveling list. Her semi-fluent Spanish and small knowledge of Dutch have come in handy in helping her to already check off the countries of Holland, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, France, Mexico, Indonesia, Australia, and Canada.   Monica cites family, faith, and fitness as her inspiration and is making moves to promote these values through her new #BeOurChange campaign, which focuses on positive and inspirational messaging.
