Tonight The KUDZOO RADIO HOUR welcomes Tony Joe White - a true American treasure. In 1969, Tony Joe came busting out of the swamplands of Louisiana with his classic, “Polk Salad Annie,” a Number One Hit, followed in 1970, by Brook Benton’s soulful rendition of White’s timeless classic, “Rainy Night In Georgia.”  Throughout the years, White has had songs recorded by dozens of major artists including Elvis, Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, Etta James, Hank, Jr., Tim McGraw, John Mayall and Waylon Jennings, while remaining a highly succesful solo artist. Buffalo talks with Tony Joe about his career and his latest swampy album, "Hoodoo."

Also on the show is Larry “Fuzzy” Knight – whose impressive musical resume’ includes a decade-plus stint as bassist for one of the great bands to emerge from the psychedelic era of the Sixties, Spirit.  He  has continued to rock Los Angeles and the world for the past 20 years with his band Blowin' Smoke, and has also recently launched a new band project, Sky King, featuring some top-name musicians, all the while keeping Blowin’ Smoke going strong! Phone the neighbors! Wake the kids! It's gonna be a good one folks!
