Tropicool Art & Entertainment

Miami Beach, like beauty, is the in eye of the beholder. Some see hotels, resorts and beaches, while others see restaurants and nightclubs. Some dive below the surface of the ocean, while others seek art, dance and opera. If there is an art to tourism, then Miami Beach is the curator. Remix and evolve. Take a walk on the artistic side - galleries and gallery walks, classical music, modern dance, exciting entertainment. From the Miami Design and Wynwood Art Districts to the "on the edge-of-the-ocean" vibe of South Beach, Miami Beach moves to a tropicool rhythm of its own.

Miami Art Online Report: Red Dot Art Fair in Midtown Miami Art District

Red DOT is in a new Miami location this year.

The Midtown Miami Arts District is part of the Wynwood Art District, just south of the Miami Design District. Scheduled for December 3-7, 2008, with a Private Preview on December 2, the third edition of RED
DOT FAIR will be centrally located adjacent to other high-profile fairs that run concurrent to Art Basel Miami Beach.

RED DOT MIAMI's move to a booth-based event in a temporary structure will provide the exhibitors with a sophisticated, friendly environment, and ample space in which to build upon the engaging presentations and diverse styles that the fair has already established.

Veteran art fair organizer Ilana Vardy joins RED
DOT MIAMI to co-produce the fair with RED DOT owner George Billis. Under Vardy's guidance, RED DOT MIAMI will host approximately 40 high-quality contemporary art galleries specializing in emerging, mid-career and established artists.

Designed to complement the offerings exhibited at neighboring fairs, RED
DOT MIAMI will feature international galleries--both returning and first-time participants--selected to provide collectors of all levels with a broad range of works and media.

For more information, call contact George Billis at 917.273.8621 or email
    REDDOTFair@yahoo.com.
