I was born in the Philippines in Subic Bay when it was still a military instillation back in 1980. My father was in the Navy for 25yrs so his service in the military took my family too many places. I have been to Sicily, Italy ; Rota, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; and San Diego California within my father’s year of service. Back in 1998, after high school, I joined the Marine Corps. I did not know what the heck to do with my life at that time and wanted to spend time traveling and meeting new people so what better way than to join the Corps. I spent time in North and South Carolina however the majority of my time was spent in Yuma, Az. I decided to get out of the Marines because for me IMRL Manager was not my calling I hated inventory which was the main part of the job. So I completed my four year tour and I’m currently using my GI bill to pursue a career as a Nurse. I have been thinking about going back in service as a Naval Officer. So I will be able to receive training in all aspects of nursing for four years. My main objective though is to be a flight nurse. As for my home life, I have been married to my husband David for seven years. We have a son Izaiah who will be two in April. David and I met each other in Marines my last year of service. He has eight more years in and we will be planning to spend his retirement in San Antonio, TX. We just came from Omaha, NE last October. Currently David is stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA. Due to the overcrowding of base housing we are staying here in Chula Vista. This is good because David will be leaving for Iraq in April and my son and I will be by my family in Chula Vista. Plus it is good to be home after 10 years. Man do years fly! I will be applying for the Nursing Program for the Fall of 09 at SDSU.
