Today’s show is called “Sustainable Economic Development and Direct Trade in Guatemala” with our special guest: Andrew Feldman. Andrew is the director of As Green As It Gets, an organization he joined in 2011. He was drawn to its comprehensive approach to sustainable economic development and close integration with communities they work with in Guatemala. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from Yale University.

Kara Andrade is an Ashoka fellow working in Central America. She is co-founder of HablaCentro.com, a local mobile-driven network of regional citizen information websites in Latin America.
 
Nicholas Wirtz is a freelance journalist in Guatemala since 2005. He writes for Americas Quarterly, The New York Times and Christian Science Monitor among others. 
 
Guest: Andrew Feldman is the director of As Green As It Gets since September 2012. Prior to that, he served for a year as AGAIG's director of operations, where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization. Andy joined AGAIG in 2011 when he was drawn to AGAIG's comprehensive approach to sustainable economic development and close integration with communities they work with. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from Yale University.
