A common challenge for many including athletes is the '"fear of failure". This is often accompanied by a lack of confidence resulting in one playing tentatively and fearfully. Because, this fear of failure is so prevalent athletes often become tense, unmotivated, and sometimes even disengage and quit because of this debilitating challenge.
IF they only knew that growing a "deep confidence" in themselves involved just a couple of adjustments in thinking. With these thinking adjustments you can convert moments of disappointment into the deep confidence that you desire.
A deep confidence starts with being able to master the competencies (skills) that qualify one to be successful. When one gets clear about the skills needed for success then committing oneself to the mastery of these provides the bridge to confidence that is born out of hard work and skill building.
