In 2015, Rachel Dolezal became the center of national controversy when her parents outted her to the Washington State black community and the entire United States as white. What's the big deal there? Well details about Rachel in the media frenzy following the interview where her parents exposed her included that she had been a student at Howard University, and that she struggled to get financial aid, and identified as black to get the scholoarships she needed to finish her studies. In addition she became the head of a NAACP chapter, taught African American Studies, and dressed and styled her hair like a black woman.  Now the blogs are saying that she is claiming not one but two African countries, Nigeria and Ghana with her recent relevation of her new name. During this episode I want to hear from you all, what do you think about this? Is Rachel engaging in Cultural Appropriation?
