"Only a fool would let his enemy teach his children." - Malcolm X

Many of us are familiar with this quote, yet we continue to send our children to public schools to be taught by majority white female teachers. This group of teachers is proven to be negatively biased against black children moreso than any other group of teachers. The unjust bias results in our children not being given high expectations, being ridiculously over disciplined, and being a lot more susceptible to false learning disorder diagnoses. Black teachers are much better for our children and in particular, black male teachers are the best for our black sons. Yet, almost 76% of teachers are female and about 80% are white. Couple those facts with another highly disturbing fact- the U.S. currently ranks 17th on the list of the best educational systems in the world, despite being a "first world" country.

What is the solution? Black family homeschooling. Black Thoughts and Theory: The Radio Show will cover the different types of cirriculum from which parents can choose to homeschool (including unschooling), support groups, and resource sites. In addition, we will feature guests that have personal experience in homeschooling their children. They will be able to provide special insight and will be on hand to answer any questions from current or aspiring homeschooling parents. If you have ever considered or wished you could homeschool your children, you do not want to miss this show!
