When Sitting Down Caused a Stir/ Flags, Racism & Justice
Colin Kaepernick was not the first Melanated man who opposed pledging allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. Blacks have made their disdain for oppression known in many forms and in many fashions for generations. To paraphrase William Parker and Malcolm X, who both said that they do not care who you represent, if you are treating my people poorly, then we have a problem.
Join Alex Primo and Asha Zuri Thursday, September 1st, 2016 at 9 pm eastern time as we explore, dissect, and debate the American flag, the national anthem, and other acceptable forms of racism and oppression that we hear, witness, or endure on an ongoing basis.
And as usual, we will not be pulling punches. We will report the facts and give heavy opinions.
