Hair is a very sensitive and important subject for black women. Since the dawn of time our hair has held lots of meaning and has been a way for us to express, as well as identify, oursleves. We have been manipulating and playing with our hair for eons. Also, playing with and experimenting with makeup, and our personal style in general. Its what we do. Part of our femininity. At this time, many black men have lots of opinions on how we should dress, wear our hair, whether we should wear makeup or not etc. Do they have valid concern, or do they just seek to control and subjugte us? Weigh in this Friday, April 22 at 9p EST, right here on Decolonize Your Mind. Call in at (917) 889-2830. Press one to share your thoughts.
