Black Love &Relationships: Adoption, Foster Care and the Black Family

Generation after generation,our Black families have suffered through slavery, poverty, and drug addictions.

With that being said, there have been instances where Black children have been placed in the system under the umbrella of foster care and then sometimes adoption. What is the system like that has been taken from their family? Does it matter that their are cultural differences between what white people think and what Black people think is different such as the way you discipline your child? What is a CASA or Guardian Ad litem?

We will discuss this matter and discuss how we can be more involved in caring for our own.
