    Date / Time:

May 24th From 12-1PM Mel Brake is guest speaker on Gtownradio.com

On May 24th at noon, Judith Trustone, Director of Sagewriters and the Global Kindness Revolution, and host of "Healing Justice" will interview poet Mel Brake. He says of his work, "For me, poetry is an inner journey where I can find myself and love. I grew up in North and West Philly with rough schools and working class neighborhoods. One of five in a single family home, I was shy and afraid to speak up. Poetry helped me find my voice and helped me heal the anger toward my absent father in order to become a complete person."
Mel's poetry speaks to the absent father dilemma so prevalent in those who end up behind bars, as well as to the social issues affecting black people in America. Judith will also present news from aorund the country related to criminal justice news, as well as music and announcements of upcoming related events.

Next Saturday, May 31st, since Judith will be presenting at the STOP MAX conference at Temple University,  an earlier recorded show from May 17th with psychiatrist, Steven Levy, M.D. of the Theosophical Society will be rebroadcast if Jim is able to do it.
