As ACL approaches, there is just a whole lot of music happening everywhere, which for me, really means that it’s one of my favorite times of the year, except for, wait, when it’s my birthday…for the record, in November.  In the midst of all of the excitement and the constant buzz of which after parties to RSVP to, I got a chance to chat with singer-songwriter, Daniel Cioper.  Since 2003, Dan has written and recorded over 100 songs; he is involved not only with music, but also with film, drawing, photography, philosophy and is very much involved with activism campaigns around the country.  How did all of this start for him?  “I decided to be a songwriter…as I kind of woke up to a lot of things that were happening with our country…and I felt like I was called to write about it and music’s the best way to do it” is how Dan elaborated as we spoke about some of the highlights in his music so far. Take a look at our interview.
