I was really fortunate to meet with the extraordinary Amanda Koster, internationally acclaimed photojournalist and Founder of SalaamGarage, when she was down in Austin for SXSW. Amanda’s work encompasses an array of humanitarian stories covering issues of human rights, cultural diversity and global equity. She has authored an incredible social documentary book titled “Can I Come with You” and also currently leads volunteer teams to work on development initiatives in countries such as Guatemala, Vietnam and Ethiopia. This is a must see for those of you who are interested in pursuing careers in Humanitarian journalism as Amanda’s insights into her vast travel experiences is really profound and inspiring. SalaamGarage is at http://salaamgarage.com as well as on Twitter @salaamgarage
