   In the first half-segment, life coach, book author and motivational speaker Towanna Freeman has been featured on America Online's Black Voices by social commentator Boyce Watkins. She is the founder of the Young Women's Empowerment Network. Her book titled Purposeful Actions, 7 Steps to Fulfillment was co-written primarily for women as a motivational tool.

   In the second half-segment, Corey Washington, author of Plain Talk Volume I: Everything You Wanted to Know About Racism & Stereotypes, discusses his book that delves into fostering an open dialogue about race, racial stereotypes, and racism. His is a social studies instructor at the middle school level in Augusta, Ga.
