Ms. Sharon Robinson may be best known for her co-writing Patti LaBelle's chart-topping single from the mid-1980s, New Attitude. But her mark in the music industry goes beyond that.

Ms. Robinson's versatility is well known behind the scenes. She's either produced, composed songs, or sung background for noted artists like Thelma Houston, Aaron Neville, Stevie Nicks, and Randy Crawford. Since the late 1970s, she's collaborated often with music legend Mr. Leonard Cohen either musically or creatively. She's also produced his critically acclaimed Ten New Songs (2001 album), which she appears on its cover with him.

In 2008, after nearly four decades in the music industry, she released her debut album, Everybody Knows; its title track is co-written by Mr. Cohen.

Next will be one of The Maverick's literary colleagues, Mr. William Frederick Cooper, an Essence Magazine best-selling author. We will chat to a sub-theme, The Mistakes Men, and there is no telling where we might go with that.

Mr. Cooper's literary works include Six Days in January, There's Always a Reason, and his 2011 title Dreams Do Come True: A Season in Pinstripes.
