Youth Creation Community Outreach was founded by husband and wife, Reamer and Sudan Muhammad, in 1999. They would go to shelters in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and serve hot soup, sandwiches, juice, donated shoes and clothing. Eventually children in their neighborhood would help serve as a way to stay out of trouble. In 2004, Bedside Harp was added to their program. Their eldest daughter, Indigo Bleu began to play at hospitals and nursing homes.
