The Gospel of Hockey returns from a two-week break with the expressed purpose of analyzing the Pittsburgh Penguins' stunning four-game defeat to the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference final. To help explore what went wrong, co-hosts Matt Gajtka and Larry Snyder welcome City of Champions contributor Andy Green to the show. Andy recently wrote an extensive piece on the Penguins' defensive deficiencies since winning the Stanley Cup in 2009. Do the Pens need to go in a different direction stylistically, or do they need to make smaller tweaks to an already successful system? The guys also look at the ongoing Cup Final between Chicago and Boston and what conclusions we can draw from the playoffs at large. Finally, Matt and Larry deliver their Local Hockey Report, wrapping up the AHL Penguins' season and updating Pittsburgh-bred players alive in the playoffs.
