Call in to speak with the host
Matt Gajtka and Larry Snyder return for another episode of the Gospel of Hockey podcast, this time featuring Adam Proteau, columnist for The Hockey News. Adam has written a new book called "Fighting the Good Fight: Why On-Ice Violence is Killing Hockey" and that tome will be the primary point of discussion today. What is Proteau's plan for helping hockey to take a stronger stance to protect the short- and long-term health of its players? How difficult is it to swim against the current of hockey fans, players, coaches, etc. who feel that fighting is just "part of the game?" What spurred him to express his anti-violence point-of-view in book form? In addition, Matt and Larry will ask Adam about other relevant NHL issues, including realignment and how the current season is shaking out.
It's good to talk.
