This past week 18 individuals in the city of Chicago were shot over a period of 12 hours. Seven died from their injuries. Community activist called for marches and the blogs were fired up with suggestions and racist comments. It is frustrating for many to read about the senseless violence and it is overwhelming for those who must endure it in their lives. Why hasn't a solution been found to address the violence? Why do politicians believe their is a quick fix? Why with all of the community activist in motion does the problem seem to get worse? Are our drug laws part of the blame? What can we do with our education system?
