Government has been moving toward being open for some time, but there are still some that worry about data, apps and the cloud. With government there are different considerations than with corporate implementation of the cloud, access to data and social networks. How do you open data and protect privacy? How do you use and access all that data in efficient and useful ways? Is the cloud right? How do you implement it all? Peter Biddle and guest Adriel Hampton of gov2.0radio will talk about topics that include:
• Open Data
• Government and the Cloud
• Apps and Social Media by The People, for The People.
Adriel Hampton is a strategist with deep experience in traditional media and in managing and advising on high-profile technology initiatives. He is one the world's most recognized advocates of government and political social media use and an expert in marketing and community building using social media. In 2009, Adriel co-founded the popular weekly public interest podcast “Gov 2.0 Radio.” He is a frequent speaker on open government topics, and is an organizer for Third Thursdays SF and CityCampSF.
