Today's conversation focuses on issues in the church arena and in the world.
There are a number of constantly growing concerns within the church regarding our poltical climate and how what the politicians do impact what happens in the church.
At the same time, the church itself, has to learn to become far more "biblical" than political in a number of ways.
For instance: Why is nepotism so common in the churches?
The church is not a for-profit business arena, so why are positions given to people based on relationship rather than ability to get the job done?
Why are rule-driven churches losing so many people?
Why are "The Word" churches more popular than the traditional--"church"?
Why are young people falling away from churches?
Why is it that the financial end of churches resemble a pyramid scheme?
Why is it that some people equate God and the church as being equal?
Why is is that church leadership falters when it comes to teaching "truth" rather than tradition?
These and other questions as they arise, will be discussed and we welcome your input. Please know we are not against churches and those who preach the unadulterated truth of the gospel, but we do have some concerns about those who are more interested in what they get out of the churches than what they put into the churches--meaning--the whole truth and nothing but the truth!
