I talked with Brandy Brooks about her spiritual path and professional work.
Brandy H. M. Brooks is the Director of Community Programs at The Food Project, where she works to connect communities across greater Boston with healthy food and supports youth and adult community members working for a more sustainable food system. She holds a Master in Public Administration from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Design Studies from the Boston Architectural College, as well as being an alumna of Harvard College.
Brandy Brooks is a passionate advocate for justice, and gains both strength and inspiration from her lifelong faith. Her professional and academic background has taken her through science, information technology, design and planning, public policy, and food justice; she finds that unexpected paths in life can be as enriching as they are surprising. Brandy's goal is to truly become a "professional instigator for an equitable society" - someone who can keep communities of people fired up as they explore what it means to live in just, sustainable relationships with one another. Along the way, it's exciting to meet and connect with talented and thoughtful people who are also striving toward that goal.
