Roommates: When Marriage Becomes Like Living With a Roommate

What happened? Somewhere along the way, things cooled off to the point of mutual existence in the same home. Some couples are not happy about this arrangement, yet go along with it, rationalizing that they are busy with kids, jobs and life in general. Many do not admit that their once steamy, happy and loving relationship resembles more like a roommate arrangement. It’s too painful to admit. But, if you want to make a change and want to make improvements, it might be time to find the courage to take action. Let’s talk about the various states of marriage (intimacy, conflict, withdrawal) and what we can do to insert a little more intimacy and move away from this roommate set up.
