Marion Welch medical coordinator for LifeLine Cryogenics Cord Blood Bank will host  an episode on the new advances in cord blood stem cell therapy. Cord blood stem cells are currently being used to treat over 70 diseases. In the last  5 years there has been major shift to using cord blood to treat regenerative diseases. Ms. Welch will discuss research and transplants  for cerebral palsy, Type1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, heart disease visual and hearing disorder.

If you are pregnant or know someone who is, please tune into this segment. The decision to bank cord blood stem cells is one of the most important decisions  an expectant family needs to make before their baby is born.  It is critical that families know their generational health history, and the current and future uses for cord blood stem cells. You have only one opportunity to collect cord blood and that is at the time of birth.
