In July, Cathedral City enacted an ordinance allowing for the immediate operation of three collectives becoming only the second city in the Inland Empire to allow dispensaries to operate. One of the major reasons for the action is that the city has helplessly watched as major tax revenue generators like Walmart, K-Mart, Burlington Coat Factory and even grocery chains like Albertson’s fled for more upscale pastures.
