Today's show is about practical, research-based methods designed to help you lift your mood and overcome depression, anxiety, and stress. Kelly Larson is passionate about helping people find more joy, and inner calm through yoga and breathing exercises. She brings to this specialty not only extensive academic and experiential training, but her own experience of battling severe, life-threatening depression. Kelly is the director of the Center for the Study of Yoga and Health, owner of Breathe into Balance, and founder of the Power Yin Yoga tradition. A highly experienced transformational consultant, Yoga and meditation instructor, speaker, author, and scholar, she is regarded as one of the world’s top private Yoga instructors. She integrates Yoga teachings from many master teachers around the globe, and offers Yoga retreats, workshops, and private sessions internationally. Her Yoga certification was completed in India, where she returns to lead retreats. Kelly has taught Yoga and other transformational retreats, workshops, and classes nationally and internationally for the last 10 years. In the academic world, Kelly has studied transformation through receiving her MA in Integral Transformation from Prescott College, and is currently a PhD candidate in the field of Transformative Studies at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
