Mandika - Verbal Flowism
United States, English
Mandika is referred to as a "spoken jazz" interpreter who's poetry has been compared to fusion with an acid neo soul style. Also a non-political/spiritual spokesman for humanity and cultures in turmoil over inequality, seeking the same opportunities for human commonality, working with groups who donated poems for the cause of "broken children" child prostitution etc. She "cut her teeth" on spoken word with the super spoken word group "Poetic Voices" of which without their encouragement and guidance she would not be at this place in her artistry. Most of her work has been featured on the online radio shows also spawned from "Poetic Voices", http://blogtalkradio.com/spokentruth also featured on "Spotlight on Jazz and Poetry" with Clayton "Big Trigger" Corley at http://www.nalradio.com/bigtriggerglitter/index.php. She wants to give a special thanks to the one and only Tshombe the Poet aka Truth Theory, along with partners in the art, Lovely Brown, Amina1389, Love Oneself, The Next Level, MizLoonar, and the list goes on.
