Some companies identify that they have a customer service problem and the immediate answer is “let’s do some training.” Laurie’s belief is that very often; this is a Band-Aid solution to a deeper problem.

Laurie Barkman, the owner of Servicedge Training & Consulting has extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality industry.  She started her career waiting on tables at Boston Pizza and then over the next twenty five years, built her career in the service industry.

In 2010, Laurie resigned from her job as the Director of Sales & Marketing of a national hotel management company to pursue her dream of helping others achieve their goals of success in the service industry.

In addition to being a professional speaker, trainer and business owner, Laurie is a wife and mother.  She is incredibly grateful for the support and patience she receives from family.
