Asha-Rose Migiro and Ayanna Pressley are my topics for tonight's episode during October's Women of Color Special Editions of The African American Biography Series of 2013. You are listening to Blogtalkradio, intelligent radio.  The African American Biography Series of 2013 is documenting Black History on internet radio.  I'm your host, Laura Gall and the name of my show is You Talk Too Much. Asha-Rose Migiro is an attorney from Tanzania.  She is a politician and was appointed as the Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa.  She was a United Nations Deputy Secretary-General from February 2007 through July 2012.  She is currently CCM Secretary for Politics and Foreign Relations.  Ayanna Pressley is a member of the Boston City Council in Boston, Massachusetts. She is the first Woman of Color to be elected to the council in it's 103 year history. Ayanna Pressley is a Democrat, a native of Chicago.  She has held several  political positions including Senior Aide for Congressman Joseph Patrick Kennedy II and U.S. Senator John Kerry. During 2009, she served as John Kerry's Political Director, responsible for managing his relationships with elected officials at the city, state and federal level and with various community leaders.  Councillor Pressley is passionate about youth mentorship and civic engagement and has launched ABC-Ayanna's Big Challenge- a yearlong initiative to recruit mentors for children living in the Boston neighborhoods with the longest waiting lists for adult mentors.  My show airs on Thursday evenings at 6:30-7:00 pm eastern time.  My call in number is 1-714-242-5273. You Talk Too Much is a featured show in Blogtalkradio's line up of shows.  Thank you so much for listening.
