The African American Biography Series of 2013:  African American Scientist in the fields of Biology, Physics and Chemistry.  We rarely hear about the accomplishments of African American Scientist and for this reason "You Talk Too Much" hosted by Laura Gall/mae510 brings to you three (3) African American Scientist.  They are Dr. Ernest Everett Just.  He was a pioneering Biologist and known for his study of the Cell surface in the development of organisms.  Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson, a Physicist and Mathematician who is President of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.  Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson remains an advocate for women and minorities in the sciences and has predicted America's future inability to Innovate in the face of a looming Scientific Workforce Shortage.  And, last but not least, The African American Biography Series of 2013 brings to you Dr. Percy Lavon Julian, a research Chemist and a pioneer in the chemical synthesis of medicinal drugs from plants.  His work laid the foundation for the Steroid drug industry's production of Cortisone, other corticosteroids, and Birth Control Pills.  I hope you will enjoy tonight's segment.
