My guest today, Sara Vance, is a Nutritionist and Kids Yoga teacher, and shares her passion for nutrition and healthy living as a regular guest on Fox 5 San Diego, appearances on eHow, and her kids yoga series for Gaiam TV.
Overweight as a child, Sara is passionate about kids health, offering a memorable and engaging Food is Your Fuel School Assembly, Kids sports nutrition programs, Whole Foods Tours, and other kids classes.
She writes her own blog and has been published on various other sites including Mind Body Green, Be Beaming, the Examiner, Algae Cal, and Encinitas Patch. Sara authored a free eBook called Cooking with Superfoods, and will soon publish her "Perfect Metabolism" book.
Sara knows first hand that making healthy choices is not always easy. Being a picky eater as a child led to digestion problems, weight gain, and teasing. Sara also suffered many years of health troubles due to undiagnosed food intolerances. Sara has found the secret to good health through nutrition and yoga and is passionate about helping others achieve their optimal health.
A speaker at the first TEDx Youth conference in San Diego, Sara was also recognized as a Lunchbox Hero by The Lunchbox Organization in Boulder, CO for her work educating kids about nutrition.
