    Ace Frehley is finally ready to add a new exclamation point to his celebrated career. For the first time in nearly 20 years, the legendary guitarist has concocted an explosive new solo effort. Flaunting fiery riffs, pristine production and jaw-dropping craftsmanship, Anomaly, on Frehley’s own Bronx Born Records, ties together the original KISS axeman’s trailblazing past, present and future!Scheduled for liftoff on September 15, Frehley’s fifth solo album—following 1978’s self-titled classic, 1987’s Frehley’s Comet, 1988’s Second Sighting and 1989’s Trouble Walkin’—will be distributed by Sony/Red with Rocket Science providing a full label service platform. To commemorate the event, Gibson has created their second Ace Frehley signature Les Paul guitar—the first one (in 1997) was one of the best-selling signature models of all time. The months of hard work were facilitated by the steady studio hands of Focx & Marti Frederiksen. Both contributed to mixing and mastering, while Frederiksen briefly took the reins from Frehley, who produced Anomaly, to turn the knobs for “Fox on the Run.” “Analog recording is kind of blown by the wayside; I learned so much from Anthony and Marti about working in digital,” Frehley says, concluding with a grin, “This album has some heavy, heavy songs.”

    Baxter March 23, 1990 – October 16, 2009

    Baxter, the world’s best, most devoted, and oldest working therapy dog, 19 years and 6 months, eased peacefully from his life on Friday afternoon, October 16th. Baxter began volunteering 7 years ago at San Diego Hospice. In a place created for making goodbyes gentler, Baxter comforted everyone who crossed his path. He licked tears from grieving faces, gave hugs to those at a loss for words, and warmed the hearts and souls of those who were making their transition. He would take his body and curled himself next to a patient for hours, making this intense eye contact that penetrated the human spirit in everyone, proving his undeniable loyalty, love, and sensitivity. Everyone loved Baxter!

    Melissa will be here to talk about Baxter, his life, his legacy and his book "Moments With Baxter". I asked Melissa what she would like me to say about Baxter on this show page and she said "I think what's important is that Baxter's book is for charity, for animal causes and that it's a benchmark for pet assisted therapy programs across the country. Though he's gone, his message is a loud bark to announce the magical value that dogs bring to any health care facility."

    Elias From nonpoint Will Join The Mad Hatter

    One of the notable bands to break through the South Florida metal scene of the late 1990’s, Nonpoint was formed in January of 1998. The current lineup boasts vocalist Elias, drummer Robb, bassist Bastard and guitarist Zach.

    Known as one of the most powerful, chaotic and brutal bands to destroy a rock stage, Nonpoint has an extensive tour history and a solid reputation. They have toured with major music heavyweights such as Mudvayne, Sevendust, Skindred, Disturbed, Drowning Pool and Buckcherry.

    Nonpoint is currently in the studio working on their full length album with Chad Gray & Greg Tribbett from Mudvayne / Hell Yeah producing. NP will be performing live at the end of 2009 in Madison, Ft Lauderdale and Tempe, and 500 digital downloads will be given to the first 500 ticket buyers at each show.

    Nonpoint is an adaptable, determined hard rock band who will always win the game we call “survival of the fittest.” They are currently managed by Split Media Management and will release new music in early 2010.

    Bruce Kulick Will Join The Mad Hatter Today!!

    If you ever play Six Degrees of Bruce Kulick, the former KISS/current Grand Funk Railroad guitarist’s résumé will keep you happily busy for hours. Having been tapped by artists as diverse as Meat Loaf and Kanye West, the veteran axeman’s boundless creative energy permeates his third solo LP, BK3.

    In the works for nearly six years and produced by Jeremy Rubolino, BK3 delivers explosive hard rock arrangements and addictive pop melodies that honor both Kulick’s singular past and bright future. And then there’s the jaw-dropping guest list, boasting members of KISS, the Knack, Toto, Mötley Crüe and more.

    “Bruce was to KISS what Ronnie Wood is to the Stones,” says Rocket Science GM & Fanboy Enterprises A&R executive Ken Gullic. “The new guy to one generation, and the long standing stable horse to another.”

    After getting his solo feet wet with 2001’s Audio Dog and 2003’s Transformer, Kulick—the often unheralded driving force on 12 years of classic KISS records, from 1984’s Animalize to 1992’s Revenge—assembled his own rock ‘n’ roll dream team. The roster: KISS icon Gene Simmons and up-and-coming son Nick (each vocally appearing separately), longtime friend John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, Kulick’s own Union), Knack mainman Doug Fieger, Toto axe authoritarian Steve Lukather, Edguy power metal stalwart Tobias Sammet and even current KISS drummer Eric Singer.

    “Many albums lack cohesion with different vocalists, but I know that my guitar playing is the glue on BK3,” Kulick says. “There was the clear goal of making absolutely the best record that I could put together. I feel like this is my Revenge.”
