Many poets/artists run in the same circles, and oftentimes they are put in situations that may become awkward when it comes to challenges and acclaim, so my question to you may be one of self discovery and personal reflection. I want to know if you feel that competition brings about strife, and if so how can we as poets/artists avoid this uncomfortable entity? Should we guard ourselves from it by bowing out gracefully when competiting against a friend, or should both individuals realize that this is just part of the game, and to just "deal with it?"
