So, many of you are experiencing difficulties as you try to listen to my archived shows. Well, I have a solution for that! Since the update of BLOGTALKRADIO, some formats have been switched. When you select an archived show to listen to, it will display another window which features the show's topic and other information---as well as a media player. It should start automatically but if it does not or you do not see a media player in the new window, here's what you will need to do... Follow the details below and I believe you should see the media player appear once you refresh the page.
These are instructions from our wonderful techies here at BlogTalkRadio and it applies to those of you that have Norton Internet Security! (The instructions are for those that have the 2007-2008 version, but I have 2006--so follow the instructions below the 07-08!)
Note: The following guide is based on NIS2007 and NIS2008
1. Open the Norton Protection Center or click on your Norton Internet Security icon.
2. Click on the Add-On Pack Option, (if you are using an older version of NIS, you won't need to do this).
3. Click on AD BLOCKING and then CONFIGURE.
4. Click on ADVANCED.
5. Click on ADD SITE on the bottom left of the window and type in "www.blogtalkradio.com"
6. Select "www.blogtalkradio.com" from the list on the left, then click the ADD button on the bottom-middle of the screen.
7. In the window, type in "www.blogtalkradio.com", and then click OK, then select "permit" then exit out.
The Media Players should now appear.
For the NIS2006 folks:
1. Open the Norton Protection Center or click on your Norton Internet Security Icon.
2. Click HOME.
3. Click WEB BROWSING.
4. Click AD BLOCKING
5. Click CONFIGURE AD BLOCKING.
6. Click ADVANCED.
7. Click ADD SITE on the bottom left hand of the window and type in "www.blogtalkradio.com"
8. Select "www.blogtalkradio.com" from the list on the left, then click the ADD button on the bottom-middle of the screen.
9. In the window, type in "www.blogtalkradio.com", and then click OK, then exit out.
Hopefully this will work for you so that you won't miss another AWESOME show!
