We've been away on a break for a while, but wow what a time to come back! Obviously, we have opinions about the goings-on in Ferguson, but we've been talking about the persistence of Respectability Doctrine in facing and fighting racism in America. What is the Respectability Doctrine? Where did it come from? Does it work? And why do we still cling to hope in it?
That's a lot all by itself, but maybe we'll squeeze a little more in there if we can.
