Join us a we interview Jupiter 7 JUPITER 7 (simply meaning: growing into completion) is a Bay Area MC striving to push the boundaries of hip-hop with an eclectic blend of break beats and golden-era lyricism. With raw stage energy and an impressive live show, J7 displays his love for the art, the culture, and people worldwide. J put his mark on the underground scene in early 2006 with his first full length release IDENTIFY, which garnered him a growing fan-base and unique sound completely his own. Since then, he's been featured on several compilations albums, magazine reviews, and nationally recognized websites. His next indie release THE 2ND STORY EXPERIMENT (EP), has been well received in the local scene due to its authentic sound and honest commentary. The featured track, "Slow Down" received an honorable mention for being among the Top 500 for the 16th annual Billboard World Song Contest. Back with his new full length album ROCKSTEADY (out now on ITUNES), Jupiter 7 hopes to take independent hip-hop to the next level in originality and content. The album serves as a tribute to hip-hop culture as well as expanding J7's emerging style and production. The mission is to be a voice of hope and clarity for today's people.
