Rockford, IL - The Ironman Football League has joined forces with the Roscoe Rush and Comcast to bring a 2009 IFL Season Preview Show to the IFL fans. The IFL is always making improvements to better itself and the 2009 campaign is no exception. It keeps getting better and better as the league announced that it will have its own Season Preview Show.
The show will be hosted by Andrew Liebetrau of ESPN Radio 1380AM. ESPN 1380’s Andrew Liebetrau will be the broadcast voice of Roscoe Rush Football for the 2009 season. Andrew can also be heard weeknights from 5p-6p on Jock Talk, live on ESPN 1380 and www.espn1380.com.
The Season Preview Show will feature owner’s and coaches from all over the league as they are interviewed on camera to discuss the upcoming 2009 season and to give an in-depth look at their respected teams. The show will give IFL fans the inside track about expectations and news on their favorite IFL team and players.
Comcast will air the IFL Season Preview on Comcast channel 57, the Local Sports and Entertainment Network. “This is a big step for the IFL,” states Chris Chudada, IFL CEO/Owner. “Getting more national exposure is exactly what the Ironman Football League needs as it continues to grow from year to year.” With the vision of bringing respectability back to Semi-Pro football, the IFL has become a very respectable league within its community and continues to strive for excellence both on and off the field.
In addition to the IFL Season Preview Show, the league has launched “Kick Off ‘09” which is a campaign that is aimed directly at the leagues fans. Special events during IFL Gamedays as well as special guest appearances by local sports celebrities are all in the mix. Considering all of the accomplishments that have been made so far, the Ironman Football League is clearly on the right path and looks proudly to the future.

Shorewood, WI (March 17, 2009) – Monarchs semi-professional football team, a second year franchise in the Ironman Football League (IFL), announces that the team will relocate to Shorewood, WI for their 2009 season. The Monarchs will host their home games at the Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Dr., in Shorewood, WI.
As a new franchise team to the IFL in 2008, the Monarchs were based out of St. Francis and played their home games at the Milwaukee Sports Complex, in Franklin Milwaukee. After discussions with the IFL league and the Athletic Department at Shorewood High School, the Monarchs are excited to about solidifying a new home at Shorewood’s newly renovated stadium.
“We are appreciative of the opportunity to bring our team to Shorewood and are excited to get involved in the community,” said Chris Hill, General Manager.
The Monarchs are owned and operated by a board of IFL veterans who have a mission to bring their knowledge and love of the game to the field, the motto of the team is simple “To strive for superiority, in football and in the community, with an undying love for the game.”
“We hope to present a team that the Shorewood community can be proud of and support. We have a number of returning veterans to the team along with some fresh talent to the league and know we will present a challenging competitor in the 2009 IFL season.” said Brett Oliver, team co-owner.
The Monarchs kick off their season with an away game, on Sunday, May 31st, hosted by the Milwaukee Venom at the Milwaukee Sports Complex, in Franklin, WI. The team will host their first home game at the new Shorewood High School Stadium on Saturday, June 13th against the Wauwatosa Spartans, at 7:00 PM.
