Have we become so detached and grown beyond a belief in love that we are willing to give ourselves over sexually in exchange for money or believe we can purchase the illusion of love? Can we attach our love to material gains and feel as though our relationships can be taken serious by the buyer?

When you are in a relationship, it’s important to maintain your focus upon the proper individuals. Many times couples or one member of the relationship tends to focus upon what other people think of their relationship, when in truth the focus of your relationship should simply be about the two people involved in the relationship. Gifts, flowers, trips, etc are all signs of appreciation and shouldn’t be used as bartering tools for sexual favors or as leverage to remain in the relationship/be your partner.

"Passionate monogamy is what relationships/marriage ought to be. It should be where both individuals are committed to loving each other, to being patient and kind, and to actually empower each other with or without financial leverage."

Are you wondering why your partner is calling you by that certain name, acusing you of only being in the relationship for money/material things, treating you like a trick, or just rapidly growing tired of your hand always in the extended position? Join us Thursday by dialing in to (646) 668-2495 at 8pm EST, to discuss a topic which is a much needed conversation.
