Love is the most powerful emotion in the universe. However, what we have these days passing for Love is possession, loneliness and other maladies.
Love is something that to get more of it -- u have to give it away. It's obvious that in the African American community among the sistah's that there is a great lack of Love.
This is clearly seen when we raise our sons to be needy and dependent males instead of strong husbands and fathers. He is not your MAN, he's your son.
Additionally, unfortunately Black Women suffer and die from most of the leading illnesses more than other ethnic groups: Breast Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Fibroids, HIV/AIDS, Obesity --you name it we got it MORE than others. This results from a lack of Love and feelings of being less than -- less than what?
What scientist and psychologists and others have discovered is that when you hold on to and press your will, u wind up ill. Sick with lumps, bumps, cancer and DEATH.
If we truly learn to let go and let GOD we will find that he is pure LOVE and he provides. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.
Let go -- you're not in control of anything anyway. My keywords are when Jesus said a new commandment I give you this day. Love one another as I have loved you -- Love one another.
That doesn't mean that you stab me and I say, "oh, I Love You". No that means start with love. Most folks are starving for someone to affirm in them that Love is the question and Love is the answer.
I look at you with eyes of Love. I will not judge you. I allow you to be fully and totally yourself. Everyone needs a hug -- and I don't mean pink water with sugar in a plastic bottle hug. I mean a hug -- I can feel you hug not sexual but, close, warm, intense, caring hug.
If we can get our day going with words of "I know that God loves me and I can do anything" then our daily lives and our destiny would change course.
Try using Love to get through you day and let me know how it works out.
