In the first decade of life, children with high-functioning autism, "PDD", and/or Aspergers have issues just as special and unique as they do later in life. The key is to understand what is important and what is not. Lorin Neikirk is an Aspie and uses Aspie Logic to understand behaviors rooted in autisim which are confusing to parents and educators. Topics such as learning to talk, diagnoses, "trigger embedding", adapting to change, sensory issues and potty training will be discussed.
