Hood to Humanitarian with Darrius Garnett

The Inspiration by Loretta Show welcomes, Author, Song writer, motivational speaker, and freedom writer Darrius Garnett. A once inner city youth in Long Island CA is now a pillar in his community. Darrius became a New York Times best selling author at  young age when he co-wrote The Freedom Writers' Diary which inspired the 2007 movie The Freedom Writers staring Hillary Swank. He also wrote the song "Change" which is on the movie's sound track. Darrius chose not to be a product of his  environment. He chose to change from hood to humanitarian and is here today to empower our young people to do the same.
