Marni Levitt is a Song-Writer & Performer, Sivananda-Trained Yoga Teacher and Public School Music and Dance Teacher.   She is passionate about community arts and education.  Marni has experienced the transformative power of yoga, dance, drumming and singing firsthand.  She is committed to inspiring children and youth through music, movement and yoga.  Marni’s passion for music and teaching are fuelled by ongoing study in Voice, as well as African/World Drumming and Dance.

For the past 20 years, Marni has been performing original songs for diverse audiences.  Her songs are influenced by traditional and contemporary blues/jazz, African, World, folk, roots, RnB and rock.  For Marni, writing and performing songs is a powerful way to share music as a spiritual conduit for growth and change. She is currently working on an exciting music project entitled: “Children’s Global Village: Songs, Stories and Movements for a New Generation in a New World”.

For the past 7 years, she has worked with children in public school, instructing Special Education, Music and Dance using a holistic and hands-on approach.   For several years, Marni has led and developed extra-curricular and co-curricular visiting artist programs in Drumming, Dance, Singing and Yoga in school and community settings.

Through her company, Move-N-Music, Marni seeks to inspire, empower, transform and connect people through the arts.  Move-N-Music offers performances and workshops for schools, daycares, summer camps, community organizations, faith-based organizations, farmers markets, community festivals, music festivals, family homes, and for special events and birthday parties.
