In this week’s Asthma House Calls, we sat down to talk with Dr. Steven Shanbom on why ophthalmologists see so many asthma patients, how eye allergies may affect asthma patients and how the asthma medications that you are giving your children may be affecting their eyes.

In Part I of our interview, Dr. Shanbom talks about eye allergies and why so many children with asthma come in to see him with eye allergies.

Dr. Steven Shanbom is with Shanbom Eye Specialist in Michigan. Dr. Shanbom is a board certified ophthalmologist who has the rare combination of being board certified in both internal medicine and ophthalmology.
