Guest Jay Lee is a transman, a person who was assigned a female sex at birth, but who identifies as male. We are going to discuss the grieving that happens for the transgender, the family and provide information about the AMA definitions of this medical condition. This is an opportunity to learn about the deep grieving, the high suicide rate and the loss of family and friends who withdraw support when a transgender comes into alignment with who they really are.

This is show #34 of 44 shows hosted by Andrea Hylen, Founder of Heal My Voice, over the holiday season of 2010. Show originally aired on January 2, 2011. http://healmyvoice.org/44-radio-shows-on-transforming-grief/
