Do you ever experience grief as a profound ache somewhere in your body? A tightness or a shadow over your heart? How we respond and attend to grief in our bodies is an important part of our healing. Tonight, Anna Stookey, a bodymind psychotherapist and massage therapist will share her thoughts, insights and personal experiences about the way grief moves through and affects our bodies. She'll also guide us in some experiences of contacting and working with grief as sensation in the body as well as exploring how the body might speak to us when we grieve. http://www.annastookey.com/ http://bodyreunion.blogspot.com/ Anna Stookey, MA, MFT, CHt. is a licensed psychotherapist and massage therapist with additional certifications in clinical hypnotherapy and guided imagery. In her Beverly Hills practice she works with bereavement, health issues and relationships, helping people find and express their true voice. Her bodymind process, The Truce Process, guides clients to transform the relationship they have with their bodies in order to deepen their consciousness and their capacity to heal.
