From an early age, we begin to distrust our despair and dark emotions. We are told to "get a grip," or "just forget about it and move on" as if these emotions need to be avoided at all costs. We will be exploring another way to view these challenging emotions by discovering the wisdom they bring. By going beyond the compulsion to control our so called "negative" emotions, we can actually attend to and befriend them. In doing this, we create space for healing and transformation.
