"The Wumblers" Creator, Laura Wellington, Featured Guest on Living Fully After 40 Radio - 3/25/2010

Laura Wellington is a former preschool teacher and owner of three small businesses, two in the technological arena and The Giddy Gander Company. Laura lost her husband to cancer and was left to raise four small children on her own. This is when she brought the colorful characters she used to draw as a teenager to life. They are now known as The Wumblers and over the last four years Laura has been on an adventure to turn the Wumblers into an award winning children's brand. Laura has accomplished a tremendous amount considering she didn't know anything about the business she embarked on, but made amazing connections along the way and brought on key people to guide and influence her every step of the way. Along with numerous awards for the Wumblers, Laura has also garnered a few of her own. The Forbes Small Enterprise Award, Top 50 Women in Business in NJ, Garden State Woman of The Year, two consecutive nominations for Women in Toys and more. Laura has also been asked to be a parent expert on Fox 5 News and the Tyra Banks Show.
