Carolyn Ho is currently is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, who graduated with her Master's Degree from Pepperdine University who has just completed over 3,000 hours of clinical work towards licensure. She has been working with children with special needs, such as Autism, Down Syndrome and other Pervasive Developmental Disorders since 2005. Her experience included implementing behavioral interventions, influenced from a Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Pivotal Response Training (PRT) background and developmental-based interventions, such as Floortime with children ranging in age from 3-16 years old. She also has facilitating Social Skills groups for over 2 years, implementing strategies and techniques that promote socialization and also has experience supervising programs and therapists in behavioral and play interventions.
She also has experience working in licensed group homes with young adults and adults with co-morbid disorders that have been involved in the legal system. There, she provided individual therapy, trained staff and facilitated DBT Groups. She also provides life coaching services to young adults in transitional programs and assists in their adaptive living skills, communication and social skills.
