Many times we find ourselves with so many commitments, we find ourselves pulled in many different directions. Our work environment expects us to multitask within a set time frame. Our families need constant attention  (Spouse, children, aging parents, etc….) Let’s not t forget friends, clubs, religious/civic responsibilities and recreation. It’s no wonder we feel drained at the end of the day. Most people try to cope by drinking coffee or some other caffeine drink to keep up. Sooner or later, it all catches up with us and we develop ulcers, hypertension, or some other ailment. Most people don’t realize that our biggest difficulty is the lack of balance in our lives. We all have to cage for our 6 basic needs:

  1. mental
  2. physical
  3. emotional
  4. spiritual
  5. financial
  6. social

If any of these needs are not met, we as individuals fall into an imbalance, disrupting every other area of our lives.  A person can have a keen mind, yet if the emotions are not right or there is a severe physical illness, it will pull this person out of balance.
